Mindfulness psychology, Geelong
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of focusing your attention on the present moment and experiencing the here and now without judgment and with an attitude of kindness, firstly to yourself and secondly with every relationship in your outer world.
The fast-growing popularity of mindfulness psychology and personal mindfulness training worldwide can be attributed to the physical, mental and emotional benefits it offers to the individual, family and organisation.
Helen travelled to the United States to undertake training in mindfulness therapy, and brings this knowledge and new mindfulness skills, along with her many years of experience in psychology and physiology and current research in neuroscience to her clients at her clinic.
Good psychological health is a key element in living a healthy life, yet often we forget how interconnecting our physical and mental well-being are. Helen understands that truly good health needs a whole-of-person approach.
The benefits speak for themselves:
- Lower stress levels
- Improved physical and psychological health
- Better relationships
- Increased confidence
- Improved productivity
- Improved capacity for learning
- Enhanced creativity.
How do I apply it?
By using some simple, practical techniques, you can bring mindfulness practice into your life, your workplace or place of learning.
Mindfulness practice does not require equipment, and can be applied anywhere – at home, office or even in the car.
Helen is currently running Geelong mindfulness workshops or can conduct group development sessions in your workplace or school, offering everything from one hour sessions through to extensive mindfulness seminars and workshops.
To make an appointment you can call Helen on 0414 681 023 or send her an email.
