Helen Handsjuk portraitHelen is a registered Geelong psychologist who applies dynamic, medically substantiated, psychological interventions and therapy for a variety of presentations.

Over the last three decades she has developed expertise in sexual counselling. Helen’s interest and practice in mindfulness extends even further back. As a Geelong mindfulness practitioner she can teach you simple, practical techniques for you to bring into your life or workplace.

She works with individuals, couples and families, and also provides health industry training sessions and workplace sessions with businesses and organisations.

What you may not know about Helen

Helen has two young adult children who have and continue to teach her about life and herself.

She has a great passion for not only mental inquiry and activity, but also for physical activity, being honoured with a Full Blues from the University of Melbourne for volleyball, and selection in the national intervarsity volleyball team. She also played squash at state level.

An avid dancer, Helen especially enjoys Street Latin, and was one of the founding members of La Vida Salsa in Geelong.

Helen has experience as a graphic artist and illustrator.

In keeping with her commitment to total well-being in her practice, Helen regularly practises yoga and meditation.

Helen has a keen interest in the environment.
